  In Bardez COLVALE is most famous for its Shree RAM Temple and also for Annual festival of RAM NAVMI.At colvale this festival stands from Gudi Padwa[New Year of the Hindu] and continuous till Hanuman Jayanti.From the day of Gudi Padwa every evening KIRTAN is organised in temple which continues till Ram Navmi.
       
   

  In addition to kirtan other religious programs are also performed.On the occasion of Ram Navmi, PALKHI is carried out in the village.People offer flowers and make pooja of lord SHREE RAM and get his blessings.Beautiful fireworks displayed during Palkhi is attraction for all of this festival.It is the biggest festival of Ram Navmi in North Goa.

On the occasion of Ram navmi village people decorating whole temple from inside as well as from outsite with Patakaas and lights.

    

SHIGMOTSAV

Shigmo is colour festival celebrated in Goa in month of Falgun.This festival is organised at entire Goa to attract tourist.Processions are carried out in cities with traditional Goan dances and modern floats.People are honoured for best performance in the procession and best float decorators.It is a grand five day festival of colour.It is considered as spring festival of Goa.Celebration begin with Holi,the festival of colour.Ripening of winter crop is also included as a reason for the festivities.Dance like Ghode-modni,Fugdi,Dhangar dance,Musal dance and most attractive is Romat Mel[Romaat].
